Rocky Gap State Park is a prime location
for a weekend getaway and there are activities for kids and
adults alike!
KIDS
ACTIVITIES
Sunflower
Fest will have a children's section where kids can be entertained
and make friends. There will be

In
addition, there is a playground, beach, volleyball courts, tennis
courts and basketball courts within the campground. Remember,
you can always rent a canoe and take the kids out on this pristine
lake!
Special
Activity - Scales
and Tails
We've
arranged for a special nature presentation on Sunday Morning
at 10 AM in the
Family Campground Amphitheater where a park ranger will introduce
kids to owls, snakes, turtles and maybe even a bald eagle! This
will be educational and just down right fun. There is also a
nature center located next to the amphitheater with all kinds
of activities for kids!

Canoe
and paddle boat rentals can be made at the resort or within
the campground
Horseback
Riding and White Water Rafting
Guests
can go to the Western Maryland Adventures desk in the resort
lobby (located near the amphitheatre) to make reservations.

Scenic
Locomotive Ride
There's
a scenic 3 hour train ride through the mountains, departing
at 11am on Sunday from the western Maryland train station. See

Rocky
Gap is a State Park so there will be plenty of hiking to be
found during the height of Autumn!
