Scythian smells the coffee in 2012 - Scythian been running hard for the last 8 years, with over 1200 shows under our belt and what seems like a million miles under our feet. Since July we've put in over 50,000 road miles alone. And we miss the little things, like food in the fridge that hasn't expired, plants that are alive, and a good home cooked meal. We miss spending time with our families and would like to get to know the neighbors. So we wanted to let you know that we've decided to pull back our show schedule significantly in the next year to reconnect with the little things that inspire and form the soul. We plan to play around 15 shows in 2012, give or take a few, so if you see big gaping holes in our schedule, you'll know why. We have already committed to some great festivals, so stay tuned as we add the 2012 dates to our calendars. Hope to see you at a show in 2012!

Scythian Booked at Merlefest! - Scythian will be back at Merlefest to help ring in its 25th Anniversary! The fellas will be there for two days and are joining an all-star lineup featuring Doc Watson, Allison Krause and Union Station, Bella Fleck and the Original Flecktones, The Punch Brothers, Sam Bush and about 40 other bands including our buddies Enter the Haggis who will be making their first appearance at Merlefest. Visit the website to get the full lineup and schedule!
Scythian Sponsored by D'Addario Strings - Scythian would like to thank D'Addario Strings for generously offering to sponsor the lads and their string needs. With two guitars, four fiddles, two banjos a viola and a mandolin in the band, those needs are many. D'Addario saw Scythian play at Merlefest this past year and walked away from the weekend signing Scythian and The Zack Brown Band. Dan has been using D'Addario strings from day one since they take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. Visit D'Addario.com to see what they have to offer.
